How it works
- 1
Find jobs near you
Enter your postcode and see paid one-off jobs within a few miles, with the pay shown up front.
- 2
Express interest
Leave your number and a short message. The requester only sees a masked number unless they accept you.
- 3
Agree it and do the job
Once you're accepted you'll both see each other's contact details. Agree the time and payment, then get it done.
What it costs you
- Browsing and applying: free.
- Job alerts: free, by email or WhatsApp.
- After a completed job: a £1.99 completion fee, once the person who posted it confirms it happened. If it didn't happen, you owe nothing.
Have a van?
List it for 24 hours, free, and people nearby who need things moved can find you. List your van.
Questions
Is it free for workers?
Browsing jobs and expressing interest are free, with no account or subscription. After a job is done and the person who posted it confirms it happened, you pay a £1.99 completion fee. Nothing is charged before that.
What if a job didn't happen?
Tell us from your job page and no fee is owed. A completion fee that's still unpaid 48 hours after the job was confirmed pauses new applications until it's settled.
How do I get paid?
By the person who posted the job, directly. You agree the amount and how you'll be paid before you start, and you're paid when the work is done, never up front by you.
When does the requester see my phone number?
Only if they accept you. Expressing interest shows them a masked number and your message; the full number is shared once you're accepted, and theirs is shared with you.
How do job alerts work?
Set an area, a radius and the kinds of work you want, and we'll email you when a matching job is posted. You can also get them on WhatsApp instead, and choose how often.
Am I working for QuickGig?
No. QuickGig doesn't employ you or set your pay. You agree each job directly with the person who posted it, and you're responsible for your own tax on what you earn.
How do I stop alerts?
Every alert has an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to any WhatsApp alert. You can also change or turn off alerts from your alert settings page.
Are workers or van providers vetted?
Not yet. QuickGig doesn't check IDs, and van insurance is self-declared. Requesters can see whether a worker's number is WhatsApp-verified and how many QuickGig jobs they've completed. Ask questions before you agree a job.
How do I report a problem?
Every job and van listing has a report option for scams, spam, unsafe requests or anything else that feels wrong. Reports are reviewed by a person and never reveal who sent them.
